3. Pregnancy and medical conditions
If you have any medical condition then you must let us know in advance, before booking. Some conditions can make it difficult to do pottery and it may void our insurance. PACEMAKER: All potters wheels (every brand) are potentially harmful to a person who has a pacemaker you must seek information and guidance from your doctor. Where a person fitted with a Pacemaker is in close proximity to an electric motor there is a potential for the magnetic field generated by the motor to interfere with the rhythm of the Pacemaker so it would not be doing its job of regulating heart-beat. All motors produce a magnetic field when in use, especially direct drive motors which have a magnet under the wheel head. PREGNANCY: Please note that some aspects of the courses are not suitable for pregnant women as there maybe health implications, please get in touch before booking. If you are found to have withheld information regarding a medical condition or pregnancy you will be asked to leave the course with no refund.
