Our mission
Passionate about creative education for all.

Our mission is to foster confidence, self-expression, and emotional wellness through ceramics for the general public; Working with clay invites mindfulness, encourages play, and helps individuals reconnect with themselves and others in an increasingly fast-paced world. Whether participants are seeking new skills, a creative outlet, or simply the therapeutic rhythm of working with their hands, my sessions are designed to nurture both artistic development and personal wellbeing.
I offer an inclusive, supportive environment where creativity flourishes—from beginners discovering the joy of wheel throwing for the first time to established artists refining their practice. Every session is an opportunity to explore new techniques, spark imagination, and share the experience with others in a welcoming community setting.
As we continue to grow, Weston Cottage Pottery remains committed to the transformative power of the arts. We aim to expand our reach, offering more opportunities for individuals and groups to come together, create, and experience the lasting benefits that ceramic arts can bring.

Meet Holly:

After teaching art for 17+ years at GCSE and A level, I have decided to finally focus on giving my own creativity an outlet. After years of painting, felting, sculpture, (you name it I’ve done it) I finally found my passion in ceramics after taking a chance course in Stoke on Trent, the home of pottery. I have fallen in love with the mindful, tranquillity that I find when I’m at the wheel as well as the ability to create both functional forms and more artistic pieces. From hand building to throwing to techniques and glazes the possibilities are endless!
I'm now lucky enough to have my own small pottery studio, thanks to my long-suffering partner Chris where I make ceramic items to sell and also share my passion by teaching others to make their own creations! As a lifelong educator I believe that everyone can and should have a creative outlet in their life.
