The 10 -part course will enable you to build on from one of our wheel throwing courses, further develop your wheel throwing skills through setting intentions for size and shape, practice consistency and cement your wheel throwing skills Price is per person and the number of participants can be selected at checkout. Session 1: Students will use session one to discuss their intentions and ideas and commit to the skills that they wish to develop over the course Session 9 will be used to trim, add handles (where appropriate) and finalise work for the bisque fire. Session 10 date will be used to glaze and complete work. The date of this session will be dependent on the size and drying of work and may be subject to change. What’s included? 10x. 2 hour classes of practical making and learning time followed by time to clean up. Sessions are 6-8pm on the following dates: Thursday 24th September Thursday 1st October Thursday 8th October Thursday 15th October Thursday 22nd October Thursday 29th October Thursday 5th November Thursday 12th November Thursday 19th November Course break for firing All tools, equipment, materials, and firing as described below are included. You will be provided with an apron, but it is advisable that you wear clothing that you don’t mind getting muddy! You can choose up to FOUR of your favourite pieces to be fired and glazed. Additional pieces can be glazed and fired cost is determined on size and is payable before the end of the course. Work will be ready for collection approximately 4 weeks after your last class. The process of drying and firing will be explained to you in detail at the time of your course or class.
