Course information

Take your ceramics to the next level with our Studio Practice session—designed to support both confident beginners and for those ready to move beyond guided sessions and develop their own creative voice. These sessions offer dedicated studio time in a supportive, inspiring environment where you can explore your own ideas, refine techniques, and build confidence working more independently. Whether you’re a beginner, continuing on from a course or returning to ceramics after a break, you’ll have the freedom to shape your own projects while benefiting from expert guidance when you need it. We have a wide range of tools, forms and equipment in the studio. What’s included? 1.45 hours of practical making and learning time followed by time to clean up. All materials; including 1kg of stoneware clay, a small selection of glazes/underglazes, and firing up to a max height/ length of 20cm. Anything over this will incur a small additional charge for glaze and firing dependant on size. What will you need to provide? You will need to come armed with a plastic storage box to keep work in a workable condition between sessions. You will be provided with an apron, but it is advisable that you wear clothing that you don’t mind getting muddy! Work will be ready for collection approximately 4 weeks after your last class. The process of drying and firing will be explained to you in detail at the time of your course or class. *The firing of work is dependent on the drying time of your piece and the kiln being ready to take a full load* Please read the terms and conditions by following the link at the bottom of this page before booking. PACEMAKER: All potters wheels (every brand) are potentially harmful to a person who has a pacemaker you must seek information and guidance from your doctor.
