Mini taster: Throw a candle stick holder

Course information

In this mini taster session you will be guided through the process of centring the clay before opening and pulling the walls, creating a classic Victorian candlestick holder! The session includes 30 minutes of guided making and learning time, followed by studio clean-up while following good health and safety practices. Each stage is clearly demonstrated, and you’re encouraged to ask questions throughout. All tools, materials, equipment, and firing are included. Aprons are provided, but it’s best to wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Please note that long nails or nail extensions can make working on the wheel more challenging. Participants must be aged 16 or over. Your piece will be glazed and twice fired. Your finished work will be ready to collect in around 4–6 weeks. This allows time for careful drying, firing, and glazing.
