Dirty date night - wheel throwing

Course information

Dirty date night with a difference... experience throwing on the potters wheel with your significant other. Turn off the screens and tune into each other for a night of shared creativity. This fun and unique experience is perfect for dates, anniversaries, or simply a different night out. Designed for complete beginners or those with limited experience. The session includes 2 hours of guided making and learning time on the wheel with a maximum of 3 couples, followed by studio clean-up. Each stage is clearly demonstrated, and you’re encouraged to ask questions throughout. All tools, materials, equipment, and firing are included. Aprons are provided, but it’s best to wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Please note that long nails or nail extensions can make working on the wheel more challenging. Participants must be aged 18 or over, priced per couple. Each couple can select up to 4 of your favourite pieces to be glazed and fired, with the option to finish additional items for £10 each, payable at the end of the session. Your finished work will be ready to collect in around 4–6 weeks. This allows time for careful drying, firing, and glazing. If you’d like to continue, further classes can help you refine your throwing skills, create more complex shapes, and explore decorative techniques such as underglaze, sgraffito, and glaze layering.
